"Systema was suggested to me and I arranged lessons with Giuseppe. I can say that without a doubt, my time with him gave me the confidence to believe in myself on another level. If you would have told me what I would have learned before I went there, I never would have believed anyone, I would be as sceptical as other people are when they have never seen what I have."

Giuseppe Filotto first became involved with martial arts in childhood thanks to his father's passion for Karate-do. He holds a 2nd Dan Black Belt grade (cert. n. 20817) in Shotokan Karate from the World Shotokan Karate-Do Federation (WSKF), is trained in the use of various firearms, and worked as an armed close protection services operative for several years in South Africa. During this time he worked for various internationally recognisable clients as well as local dignitaries.
Since 2003 he has been training exclusively in Systema and was certified as an instructor by Mikhail Ryabko in Moscow in February of 2008. He has also trained with most top exponents of Systema, including Vladimir Vasiliev, Konstantin Komarov, Val Riazanov, Vadim Dobrin, Alex Kostic and Emmanuel Manolokakis.
He is a previously published author, a trained Clinical Hypnotist (Registered with IMDHA, IACT and IAPH) and has worked in the legal and financial sectors of the Construction industry for several years. He currently lives and works in London where he trains in and teaches Systema alongside top instructor Uldis Veismanis (ex-Sports Dynamo Instructor during the Soviet era) through the organisation he founded: Way of Systema, which is currently the largest Systema organisation in London and has now begun expanding outside of that city, opening its first small branch in Brighton in November 2010.

He has an interest in ancient archaeological sites and tries to visit these when possible. He is currently working on his next book and would also welcome the opportunity to get a small team of professional explorers together, privately financed by any interested parties, in order to make one of two possible expeditions to uncover some lost historical sites of global interest.
